I searched proverbs with word belonging after seeing a flicker fest 2011 documentary The Mystery of Flying Kicks (Matthew Bate, Australia) about the phenomena of tossing sneakers over power lines.

I have these old letter printing plates a gift Mum brought back from the UK a few years ago. 
Life is, like the film maker Pedro Almodovar's film title states, All about my mother at the moment so it's great to be using the plates in my current work.

I started pinning vertical blinds up - inititally as a room divider left right. Then I started forming compartments. 

The blinds cast great shadows.

After today's reinstallation and chitter chatter I find out the people sent to paint the wall. Oh look a hoarded terrace how perfect. No.46 has a hoarded fence with chicken wire, I actually woke up thinking I need chicken wire and here it is pre-installed on a hoarded fence - thank you thank you thank you.
